The Victory is the command 'Mech for Samuel Hellstrom, leader of the mercenary group Hellstrom’s Hellions. In a bid to make the 'Mech less dependant on supply lines, always a gamble in the mercenary trade, a field kit for a Hunchback 4P was used on Hellstrom's Victor. When it came time to add the additional heat sinks, the tech crew found it had to fill the inital void from the Autocannon and ammo, and then placed three additional heat sinks in the left torso, and one in the head to properly balance the 'Mech.

The tech crew working on this 'Mech jokingly said they should give it the designation of Victor 9E, for experimental. This was shortened soon after and the 'Mech was christened “Victory.”

The Pontiac 100 Autocannon/20 and ammo were swapped out for the six Ichiba 2000 Medium Lasers in the refit kit, and the extra 11 single heat sinks necessary to keep the 'Mech working in its normal heat range. This change, like the Hunchback 4P, gave Hellstrom 150% the damage of the Autocannon, for comparable heat levels and range profiles, and allows the Victory to exploit any armor weaknesses in an opponent.

The Sorentein V Medium Lasers and the Holly SRM-4 launchers were left untouched, although Hellstrom tended to load Inferno missiles into his launcher for anti-infantry and anti-vehicle protection.

As stated above, the Victory is itself a variant of the Victor. By 3050 the Victory had been upgraded again. This time the armor was changed for Ferro-Fibrous, increasing the protection over the limbs, and front torsos of the 'Mech.

Hellstrom never had a chance to modify the Victory any further, as it was destroyed in the early days of the Clan Invasion.
